Procurement Specialist - energy project logistics

QISG is a leading EPC contractor delivering turn-key solutions for power generation, renewable fuels, and specialized hydrocarbon processing facilities across North America. With over 30 years of experience, we focus exclusively on complex industrial energy projects.

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support project teams in sourcing engineered equipment, materials, and construction subcontracts for industrial EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

Align procurement activities with project schedules and deliverables.
Develop bidder lists, solicit RFPs, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts, and recommend awards.
Coordinate with engineering teams and incorporate technical reviews and contract flow-downs.
Draft, issue, and manage purchase orders and subcontracts in accordance with internal policies.
Maintain accurate procurement status logs, documentation, and reporting tools.
Build and manage strong vendor and subcontractor relationships.
Identify procurement risks and manage resolution of material or service discrepancies.
Interpret engineering drawings to confirm material/equipment requirements.
Support continuous improvement and ad hoc procurement tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
5+ years of procurement experience in EPC power generation or industrial construction projects.
Proven track record managing supplier/subcontractor prequalification, RFPs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and PO/subcontract administration.
Strong vendor network in the energy and industrial construction sectors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Experience with procurement systems; Procore experience is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.

Other Details

This is a full-time, onsite position based in our Houston headquarters.
Travel may be required up to 10% to vendor or project locations.
