PPG - Senior Procurement Specialist (Paramus, NJ)
Phoenix Power Group (PPG), a subsidiary of Quanta Services, is a leading EPC contractor delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across North America—including power generation, industrial process facilities, and renewable fuels.
We’re seeking a Sr. Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing and procurement for engineered equipment on complex, capital-intensive EPC projects. This is not a commodities role—you’ll manage the procurement of custom-fabricated systems such as skids, switchgears, large-diameter tanks, pressure vessels, and control systems, working closely with engineering and project management teams from concept through delivery.
Current projects include a large-scale biometric digester facility in Linden, where organic material like seaweed and food waste is processed in tanks (75–200 feet in diameter, up to 45 feet tall) and refined into renewable gas for sale to utility companies. These are full lifecycle industrial systems—from raw material intake to final gas delivery—requiring technical coordination across vendors and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead prequalification, RFP development, bid evaluations, and contract awards for custom equipment and subcontracted scopes
Coordinate closely with engineers (internal and external) to align specs and procurement requirements
Ensure flow-down of prime contract requirements and negotiate commercial terms
Monitor delivery schedules and oversee expediting to meet project timelines
Maintain long-term supplier and subcontractor relationships
Support proposal efforts with pricing strategies and supplier input
Ensure compliance with internal standards and client-specific requirements
Qualifications:
8+ years of procurement experience in EPC, industrial, or process facility construction
Strong background procuring engineered-to-order systems and large mechanical equipment
Skilled in RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management
Excellent cross-functional coordination and communication
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
