Senior Sourcing Specialist
Strategic Procurement for Utility and EPC Projects

Join a high-performing team leading complex sourcing initiatives for large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects in the electric utility sector. As a Senior Sourcing Specialist, you will drive sourcing strategy, manage high-value bids, and serve as a critical link between engineering, project management, and suppliers to ensure alignment, compliance, and on-time delivery of materials and equipment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the full sourcing lifecycle for key Transmission, Substation, and Distribution projects.
  • Prepare, issue, and manage RFPs for critical materials and equipment.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals, conduct pricing and risk analyses, and deliver sourcing recommendations to leadership.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, material take-offs, and technical specs to ensure accuracy in procurement.
  • Negotiate terms and manage supplier performance, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule targets are met.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to align sourcing with project milestones and technical requirements.
  • Mentor junior sourcing staff and contribute to process improvements and best practices.
  • Ensure full compliance with client, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of sourcing experience in utility, industrial, or EPC project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of RFP processes, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.
  • Proven ability to read and apply technical documents including drawings, specs, and BOMs.
  • Experience sourcing equipment such as breakers, capacitor banks, transformers, and materials for overhead/underground T&D projects.
  • Established relationships with utility vendors and OEMs a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supply chain certifications (CPIM, CPSM, CSCP) preferred.
