EnergyLink: Category Manager – Electrical & Infrastructure Materials

We’re seeking mid- to senior-level Category Managers to lead sourcing strategies for critical infrastructure commodities used in utility-scale energy and decarbonization projects.
These materials include:
- Pole line hardware for transmission & distribution (T&D)
- MRO, balance-of-plant, and minor electrical packages
- Underground electrical and conduit systems
- Substation components and assemblies
- Steel structures, wire & cable, transformers, and more
EPC experience is not required, though it’s a plus!
High Voltage experience is not required, but highly valued!
This is an individual contributor role—ideal for experienced professionals who want to shape strategy and drive results without managing a team.
As a Category Manager at QISG, you will:
- Own and execute category strategies aligned with project demand, technical requirements, and sustainability goals
- Lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships across key commodities
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and within budget
- Forecast demand, optimize inventory, and support S&OP alignment
- Onboard and qualify suppliers while monitoring risk and driving innovation
- Leverage market intelligence and spend analysis to reduce cost and increase value
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience (preferably in energy, EPC, utilities, or industrial infrastructure)
- Deep knowledge of critical infrastructure components
- Proven success in supplier negotiations and performance management
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (APICS, CSPM, or equivalent certifications preferred)
