We’re seeking mid- to senior-level Category Managers to lead sourcing strategies for critical infrastructure commodities—including electrical components, wire & cable, steel structures, transformers, and more—used across utility-scale energy and decarbonization projects.
This is an individual contributor role – perfect for high-performing professionals who want to lead sourcing strategy and deliver impact without managing a team.

- Own and execute category strategies aligned with project demand, technical requirements, and corporate sustainability goals.
- Lead key supplier relationships and negotiations for materials vital to transmission, distribution, and electrification infrastructure.
- Partner with internal teams on S&OP alignment, inventory allocation, and forecasting to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
- Onboard and qualify new suppliers, assess risks, and build a resilient, innovative supply base.
- Use data and market insight to drive continuous improvement and long-term sourcing success.
What You Bring:
You bring a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and 7+ years of sourcing or category management experience—ideally in energy, EPC, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure. You’re a strong communicator and negotiator who thrives in cross-functional environments—and you prefer leading without managing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commodity sourcing (electrical, steel, or industrial materials)
- Expert-level negotiation and supplier performance management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, or Electrical Engineering
- (APICS/CSPM preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision-making
- Strong understanding of sourcing strategy, contracts, and supplier risk management
Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 based on experience and seniority.
