Project Manager II - Electric Power Delivery sector
QISG is seeking a results-driven Project Manager II to lead the full lifecycle of complex Design-Build (DB) and Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) projects within the electric power delivery sector. This role is critical in managing project planning, execution, and close-out, ensuring seamless coordination across engineering, procurement, scheduling, and construction functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a deep understanding of the utility infrastructure space, capable of delivering large-scale transmission, distribution, and substation projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in the construction or power delivery industry, preferably involving DB/EPC projects.
- Proven expertise in transmission, distribution, or substation projects.
- Strong working knowledge of construction management, engineering coordination, contract administration, procurement, and field operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management tools (Procore preferred).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional project teams from pursuit and preconstruction through execution and close-out, ensuring alignment with client objectives and overall project success.
- Oversee all aspects of engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Manage prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders with an emphasis on cost control, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Develop and enforce project-specific plans for safety, quality, and environmental compliance, aligned with company and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the primary client interface, fostering strong relationships and providing consistent communication and problem resolution.
- Facilitate RFIs, value engineering, constructability reviews, and change order processes to optimize project outcomes.
- Lead procurement strategy, vendor selection, bidding, invoicing, and document management efforts.
- Monitor and manage project schedules, progress tracking, cost forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Oversee project close-out processes, including final documentation, warranty tracking, and post-project evaluations.
- Mentor junior staff, promote knowledge sharing, and uphold organizational standards and best practices.
