PPG: Procurement Expeditor (engineered equipment) - Paramus, NJ

Paramus, NJ
Full Time
Entry Level

Phoenix Power Group (PPG), a subsidiary of Quanta Services, is a leading EPC contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across North America—including power generation, renewable fuels, and large-scale industrial process facilities.

We’re looking for a detail-driven Procurement Expeditor to support project execution by tracking and managing the flow of materials and documentation across procurement, engineering, and construction teams. You’ll work closely with buyers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure that engineered equipment—not commodities—arrives on time and meets project specifications.

Current projects include a major biometric digester refinery processing organic waste into renewable gas, involving large tanks (75–200 feet in diameter), complex mechanical systems, and vendor-fabricated equipment. This role is central to ensuring critical components are delivered, documented, and installed on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and confirm equipment and material deliveries across multiple projects
  • Maintain and update material delivery dates in JDE (ERP system)
  • Manage supplier relationships and lead weekly status meetings to resolve delays or issues
  • Escalate and expedite priority items as needed to meet project milestones
  • Support subcontract, purchase order (PO), and change order (CO) processing
  • Reconcile material receipts and invoices (project-specific)
  • Assist in setting up bid packages and managing category workflows
  • Monitor and maintain project documentation: submittals, RFIs, drawings, action items, and folder structures
  • Support project teams by managing user access, contact lists, and workflow tasks

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement support or expediting within EPC, construction, or industrial projects
  • Familiarity with engineered equipment procurement (skids, tanks, control systems) preferred
  • Experience using ERP systems (JDE or similar)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and manage competing priorities

Join PPG and play a key role in keeping complex, high-impact infrastructure projects on track—from planning to commissioning.
